- Why does diagnos ask for phone, identity, or a signature? Your account has a security level from 1 to 7 — each step proves a bit more about who you are, and unlocks a bit more of what the account can do. Level 3 (your security password) is what actually protects patient data; levels 5–7 aren't available to complete in the app yet. 3 min read
- I lost my security password and my recovery phrase — what now? If you still have the recovery phrase, you can get back in — see the steps below. If you have neither the security password nor the recovery phrase, the encrypted data in that workspace can't be recovered, by you or by anyone at diagnos. This isn't a policy limit; it's how the encryption is built. 3 min read
- How do security devices work? A security device is a passkey (Face ID, Windows Hello, or a physical key) tied to one browser, used to prove it's you — separate from your security password. It gets you signed in faster; it never unlocks the encrypted vault on its own. 2 min read
- How do I unlock a workspace? Enter your security password on the unlock screen. If you don't have it, the recovery phrase is the only other way in — it's a one-time code generated when you registered, not a list of words, and it can't be reissued. 2 min read
- Why is my workspace encrypted? Patient, exam, file, and template data is end-to-end encrypted — not even diagnos can read it — and stays unreadable until a member unlocks the workspace on that device. Settings stays reachable either way, because it never holds that encrypted content. 2 min read
