How do I see my usage, and what happens when I hit a limit?

Storage, compute, and AI are tracked separately, each against its own monthly allowance. Running out of storage blocks the whole workspace — except viewing your usage and finishing an upgrade, which stay open on purpose, so a blocked workspace can still see its balance and get unblocked.

diagnos tracks three kinds of usage separately, each against its own monthly allowance: Storage, Compute, and AI. You can see all three, with a percentage for each, from the workspace's usage screen.

Running out of Storage is the one that matters most: it blocks the entire workspace, reading included, not just uploading. Running out of Compute or AI only blocks that one kind of action, and both reset the next month — Storage doesn't reset on its own, since it tracks what's actually stored right now, not a monthly count.

1. Where to check#

Open the workspace's usage screen to see Storage, Compute, and AI, each shown as "x of y units used" with a percentage. Whichever one is closest to its limit is highlighted.

2. What happens at 100% storage#

New uploads and new document versions are paused for the whole workspace, not just for whoever triggered it — everyone sees a banner: "This workspace reached its storage quota. New uploads and new document versions are paused until the plan is upgraded or space is freed up."

Two things keep working on purpose, even then: viewing your current usage, and going through an upgrade. A blocked workspace can still see its balance and get unblocked — see How do I increase storage, AI, or other limits?.

3. What happens at 100% compute or AI#

Only the operations in that one domain are refused until next month's allowance resets. Everything else in the workspace — including uploads and reading patient data — keeps working normally.
